Since 1940, roofing contractors have relied on Smith Hoist for efficient lifting machinery. Now, with the addition of Beta Max technologies, Smith hoists have become even more versatile and dependable. For the first time, Smith Hoist offers roofers an electric swing beam with Beta Max reliability. Manual swing beams are now engineered to accommodate future mechanical or electric upgrades. Other improvements include the newly designed winch assembly and hydraulic operation.

New Smith Hoists come standard with Honda® engines, while pre-existing Smith winch assemblies can be retrofitted to accommodate them. The new winch Assembly is also compatible with Briggs® or Wisconsin® engines. The Beta Max Smith Hoist winch assembly also functions as part of the counterbalancing system.

The hydraulic models range in capacity from 1000 to 2000 lbs. Hydraulic operation sets the standard for operator ease and efficiency. The smooth operation of our hydraulic powered system means less wear and tear on the equipment and greatly reduced service after purchase.
